Jan. 14 Entry: The Thirteen Days Of Blog
I joined The Blog with trepidation, not sure what I would do,
I've found it very entertaining, getting to know all of you.
My New Year's hope for weight loss gave quite a few details,
But a birthday party came along, That's when the diet fails.

Isaac Asimor says writing is thinking through his finger tips,
I had to muse about that statement coming from his lips.
A discussion on the subject helped me to understand,
Yes, I believe that writing comes from brain to hand.

Today the government seems to have nothing more to do,
Than think up more insane rules to apply to me and you.
I don't think the government needs to be in my business.
I'll go to congress, tell them so, and you can be my witness.

If I could hop a plane right now, I'd go to Scottish land,
See The Falls of Dochart, hear a a piper band,
For I'm always on the road looking for something to do,
My life is busy, busy, and idle hours are few.

Would I cheat, beg, steal, or lie to win a writing contest?
No, I'd have to live with it and that would make me stressed.
Maybe just a tiny hack, to stir things up a bit,
Just enough to make you all have a little fit.

Life seems so unfair that I ponder it sometimes,
I have so much more than I need, it's almost a crime,
That others may not,
how can that be fair?
Homeless people needing help abound everywhere.

It really does amaze me, what people will buy,
For the sake of having something
like the other guy.
Do we really need all those newfangled devices,
That we use once for those upscale prices?

Relationships are tricky, you have to get along,
I learned to be more cautious,
also got strong.
For who do you have in the end but yourself,
And those books you love, sitting on the shelf.

The internet has now controlled all of our lives,
And soon we'll have a car that simply self-drives.
I wasn't raised with all that new fangled show,
That's how I grew up, that's what I know.

There are times you have to go outside the zone,
When that happens, I give a little groan,
Cause sometimes you can't get out of it,
So you have to smile and do it, while your teeth grit.

My files I will arrange and re-arrange again,
They'll stay that way for quite a while and then,
I'll get the urge once again to change them around,
Because of a new idea that somewhere I found.

Without music, what would life be?
Devoid of happiness, mirth, and glee.
Everyone has a little music in their heart,
That's a great way for the day to start.

Thank you for reading my rambling piece,
I'm sure you will be glad to see it cease.
It was simple and fun, completely odd,
Erratic, silly, weird, and definitely flawed.
