Lonely Days and Nights
By Lisa Noe*Cat*
{/bold}
Oh good gracious I like me some soda,
Even if it makes me need more yoga.

I may get fat, but that’s all right
Because I still look dynamite.

I tip the scale at one sixty-five,
My belly is as round as a beehive.

I walk with a crooked wooden staff,
I may look funny and people might laugh.

I walk with a limp on my left leg,
But at least I have one, it’s not a peg.

My tale is silly as it can be,
I spend my life raising honeybees.

I have a bird who says a few words,
She repeats almost any thing she’s heard.

She is my very best friend
Maybe that’s sad I’ve come to that end.

But I don’t know anyone to befriend,
I would be the friend on whom you could depend.

For now I spend my days alone,
Staring at the telephone.
