Take back my life
By Lisa Noe*Cat*

There she was, lying on the bed crying after her boyfriend had gotten upset with her and beat her. He often got drunk and slapped her around. Chrystal was a petite person; she was easily taken advantage of by everyone. She had a gentle and innocent way about her, people knew they could get from her what they wanted and did very often. Chrystal’s lip was bleeding and she took a tissue to wipe away the blood. She was sore and hurt but more than anything she was angry, but she took that anger out on herself, cursing herself and feeling so low.
She looked in the mirror, shook her head and then wiped her tears away, she drew her hair up into a pony-tale using a black velvet ribbon. Her cat came over to her and began rubbing on her leg and she bent down, picked up the feline and kissed it on it’s head.

“I love you, you’re the only one who cares anything about me, you don’t hurt me or want anything from me accept for love, why can’t people be more like you?”

The door flung open, and there he stood 6’2, 200lbs. She jumped when he walked in to the room.

“I have something for you baby, I’m sorry for hurting you! I’ve had this for a while.”

He handed her a small box containing a diamond ring, she was stunned and unprepared for a proposal.

“You know I’m sorry baby, please forgive me and be my wife.” He took the ring from the box and placed it on her hand.

“I can’t let you hurt me any more so No! No I can’t marry you."
