Winter
Snug in my jacket, a scarf, a chapeau, and some mitts my trusty shovel and I set forth to battle some drifts. Our plan was simple: push the snow from here to there. Re-locate the white stuff that was flung everywhere. Not merely fluffy, powdery, feathery, and nice this ground cover was cantankerous crunchy snow-ice. Snowflakes fall in a swirling cloud. Walkers surge in a billowing crowd. Toques bob, mittens wave, scarves flap. One bright red umbrella, snap.
