The Birth of A Savior

Angels in Heaven and shepherds on earth
Are those who witnessed his glorious birth.

Immanuel the baby was born
He was to be our Heavenly Lord.

Stars in the sky twinkled oh so high
Knowing that God had delivered a sigh.

He gave us his child, he entrusted him to the world
He would grow in to a man and fight the underworld.

He went through life teaching goodness and love
This man was as peaceful as a sweet loving dove.

He healed a blind man, and made the lame to walk
He withdrew demons from a man, and in this you can take stock.

He walked on water, turned wine into blood
Even brought back a man from the dead.

Many would follow this man through the land
From twelve special men he would receive a hand.

He would be Baptized by the Baptist named John
But all of the scribes thought he was a con

They were against him and wanted him dead
But John told them this was the one he’d waited for.

The Romans must follow the will of the crowd
they wanted him hung on the cross they shouted loud

They hung him from a tree in front of his mom
Poor Mary and Mary, watched in horror as they looked upon

Before he died with these words he spoke through
My father forgive them they know not what they do.

They buried him in a tomb behind a stone
But within three days through the garden he roamed.

They saw him ascending to Heaven above
But he said to them remember the love

I will be back one of these days
So this is why you should watch all your ways.

In like a lamb and out like a lion
The storm will bring fire and leave many dying.

The story of Jesus a man for all times
A man that witnesses all of the world’s crimes.
