Shadow Girl by ??? hmmmm

I really hate it when I can't remember the author's name, especially when I loved the story.

It was a story I read while in high school. Possibly published after the 50s...Now I'm going to have to search the net to see if I can find it again.

I slept on it...author's name was Ray Cummings. His name was the first coherent thought when I woke up It is nice to know I can still access people and place names even if it does take a night and a day to retrieve the info

Note: The Shadow Girl (Argosy 1929)--Boy was I way off on when this was published. Of course, the paperback I read may have been a reprint. Here I had read a classic from one of the pioneers of pulp fiction and didn't even know it.
