Death
Prompt: At what point is too much? This week a man opened fire and barricaded himself Inside an abortion clinic. What death is justified? Is any? Cops get shot, babies get murdered ; reproductive rights versus gun rights, coming to a head. What's your spin?
Whoo, this is an emotion - charged topic! Death versus death; an eye for an eye? A shooter with a God complex? A shooter as judge, jury, and executioner?
Wielding a deadly weapon is one way to gain attention, but it's the method of a bully, a zealot, dare I say, a my- way -or - the - highway mindset. What does a man willing to kill people know about the sanctity of life? Why assume that every single person in that building was there to take or end a life not yet achieved? Planned Parenthood is not just pro-abortion, and even if it was that's the right of the particular women involved. Women are the ultimate caretakers of their own bodies. Not all children are planned or wanted. Not all children live an ideal life in perfect conditions.
I've never handled a gun. I've never been in the situation to consider an abortion. Both are deaths.I suppose both means of death are violent. I do not believe one cancels out the other.
It can be argued that a gun has the potential to not only kill many people, but impact the lives of survivors, families, and friends. Is the fallout from an abortion as far-reaching? SIGH!
Death is not pretty.Revenge, justice, personal gain, jealousy, anger, whatever... none of them justify death.
