Once upon a time,
I thought I could do it all.
Once upon a place,
I thought I could be it all.
Time is long and time is short.

We all want more time,
but what do we really need?
Only just enough.

Achievements vary.
I thought I could reach the stars,
but look where I am.
And how far have you gotten?
Luckily not to the end.

Sometimes it feels like,
the time is draining away.
Wait, don't do too much!

Too much is too late.
Overdoing won't get done.
Only time for this.
Too much can lead to nothing,
so pace your self in this life.

Oh fleetness of time,
and sparsity of places.
The journey is long.

When will it be done?
Will I have time to finish?
I feel weakness come.
Help me to the finish line.
Did I do enough?  Did I?
