Entries for Blog City are here and maybe other surprises. |
Times are bad. Children no longer obey their parents and everyone is writing a book. Cicero 43 BCE BCOF: The more things change, the more they stay the same. Do you agree or disagree? Do you think everyone is writing these days-a book, short stories, poetry or memoirs as Cicero indicates. Does this impact us as writers ourselves? Are we one of Cicero's everyone? What makes you different? Blog City Prompt: In this time with the internet so easily accessible, how do you determine what is worth reading when it is so easy for people to publish what ever? What criteria is important to you when you read online articles, stories? Things change. Prices are higher, my job has more paper work then ever which is unnecessary, the people I take care of get way out of hand but I will not dwell on this. Rules change in life all the time. Not everyone is writing a book. A lot of people write here at WDC and Barnes and Nobles have tons of new books by authors all the time and there is a small section of Indiana writers. A bigger shelf for new authors from all over. No one in my town writes books but in the town where I work at, there are probably forty authors but I live in a small farm town. The town I work in has a WalMart, stores, restaurants and more people. My friend Jen at work writes stories and she has an account here. J.L.R. ![]() ![]() I like to read about the Royals, celebrities and I read news that I need to know about. I like happy news but there is more sad news then happy news. I like when pets and animals are rescued by caring people. The President. I won't go there. I care more about the Royals. I like accuracy and I want to trust what I read. I avoid depressing news. I am just on a need to know basis about bad news. Like a giant alligator walking around a golf course. I don't like alligators but I found him interesting. Ghosts, finding a ship that sunk hundreds of years ago, things like this I like to read about. War, the Middle East, no thanks. I turn to my Bible and they were bad back then, too. It is God's word. I respect it and love God and Jesus. I hope I have done well with the prompts. Keep Writing. ** Image ID #2030606 Unavailable ** |
