Someone Had to Tell Oberon
Prompt: It wasn't going to be easy but someone has to tell her/him...
Make it your own...

---------------------

Someone must tell Oberon not to “dote on in extremity,” and not to put enchanting love potions in flowers.

Oh, what does he say? “What thou seest when thou dost wake,
Do it for thy true-love take…”

This isn’t looking good at all. Not after he squeezes the flower’s juice into Titania’s eyes. Since he did that, he should stay by her, so he is the first thing that Titania sees. But would Oberon stay? Heck no. So much like a man: Throw something in the wind, then get lost.

Yet, there’s a lesson here. No one should wander about in enchanted forests with fairies, and no Fairy King should squeeze flower juices into Fairy Queen’s eyes. Or else love will lose its balance.

Next thing you know, Oberon surely will hear Puck tell him, “My mistress with a monster is in love.” Surely, King Oberon, if you leave your queen alone, she’ll fall in love with a donkey.

No, this isn’t easy at all, but I must warn him. He’s going to create havoc. I’ve heard of the outcome. How shall I tell Oberon this? With all the lights off, I wonder if he’ll give weight to my words, or if he’ll even hear me. Should I whisper it to him from my seat or should I scream it out loud?

Nah, after paying an arm and a leg for my seat, why do I have to lecture Oberon about moral choices? But someone has to. Or else, you know what will happen. Puck will mess up things even more, although Oberon is the one who started it. It’s all his fault, but while there’s still time, I must warn.

“HEY, OBERON! STAY NEAR TITANIA! AND DON’T FOOL AROUND WITH POTIONS. YOU’RE MESSING UP EVERYBODY’S LOVE LIFE!”

Sir? Why do you want me to leave my seat? Leave the theater, you said? Now, who’s going to let Oberon know not to meddle into others’ affairs?

=====

All right. So it is far out, but it is after midnight when my crazy colors splash into everything. Just like the stage play this spoof of an entry refers to: A Midsummer Night's Dream

I could have told you not to take my writing/blogging so seriously; I surely don’t. *Laugh*
