A journal to keep track of my poetic thoughts. |
O Krishna, don't come to this earth. Now a days there is just no dearth of your stand-ins whom one can meet as a krishna roams every street. They might not shine with your glory, but they quote your words and story rewriting every turn and feat as a krishna roams every street. They sit and declare right from wrong forgetting what they did lifelong, crushing sinners under their feet as a krishna roams every street. Your words will be lost in their shouts their devotion will chew you out You'll then have to accept defeat as a krishna roams every street. 1. Krishna is a Hindu God who is said to have spoken Bhagavad Gita . The poem refers to the numerous (mis)interpretations that are committed here by the priests who considers themselves as equivalent to God. This is not meant to offend anyone as I myself am a believer of Lord, but it is meant to comment on the state of degrading religious values. 2. Form Used: Kyrielle Sonnet |
