Which came first? Writing or words?

Speech.

I've discovered the reason speech was invented; the reason writing was not enough.

You can't read in the dark.

When the darkness comes, words have to be spoken.

Yes. I'm glad for laptop batteries. I had a long blog entry typed, unsaved, and yes, you guessed it, a blackout.

The whole town is now a hole town. A quick google search shows 2012 info about Coonabarabran having numerous brown and blackouts because it ... Whatever!

Shakespeare must have had plenty of candles, as did Bach and Mozart. Beethoven his oil lamp!
