Day 9: No shame in my game.
Guilty pleasures. What are three movies, books, television shows, music artists, and/or games you're afraid to admit to other people that you actually really enjoy? Why do they appeal to you?

Hmmm, I'm not really afraid to admit anything to somebody, but I do like a ton of 'non-mainstream' items so I don't usually post/talk about them a ton in mixed company.

Movies: probably anything Anime, or animated in some instances

Books: romance novels, so far I only read Sands on the regular and consider it more action/romantic comedy than 'slut snuff' but I think most people assume everything in the romance section is racy

TV shows: reality TV junkie, but there are soooo many options I even find myself being biased against many of them and try not to judge people that absolutely love the Kardashians or Pawn Stars *bleh* "Day 7: I miss realityOpen in new Window.

Music: this is where the biggest separations occur; only talk about country with....well very few people, my rock obsession with my rock buddies, and my love of good hip hop/rap beats with other urban enthusiasts

Games: I haven't played much recently but when I do get into my xBox phase I again have a very restricted number of individuals with whom I can have meaningful communication

Hard to explain why they all appeal to me, but I'll try:
Movies, Books, Games: all to do with the fantasy of escaping to another world that I can't have here on earth

Reality TV: as partially evidenced in "Day 8: Fly on the phone got smushed....Open in new Window. I love learning about people, people watching, and being a 'fly on the wall' so to speak; every once in a while, when it's not obviously scripted, reality TV allows me to do this guilt free

Music: I just like a good beat and clever lyrics, I could care less what 'genre' it is, good music is good music damnit

Prompt: "Note: Hey Writers! Nicholas Thompson, editor of the New..."

I may actually do this come Spring: http://writeahouse.com/

All I have to do is survive in Detroit for two years and I win a house!....I always wanted to be on one of those survivor shows......
