Day 23
Fruitful Wishes
Darkness of night, please do me no harm,
I send up my blessing, to the gods up above,
Hear my prayer, grant me my wish,
To see my dead love one, to grant me his kiss.
Long has he withered, so dead in the ground,
My heart still loves him, though he's never around,
I remember the times, we said we’d grow old,
He never did think, it would never happen at all.
I sit by him now, on the dewed grass,
I remember our time, I remember it all,
I remember how we laughed in the rain,
Me quite angry, he quite the same.
His passing to me was quite unexpected,
Our burning red hearts, his nice soft caresses
Death isn’t how I wanted him to be,
With him all alone, away without me.
