Day 22
Gift of the Moon

The moon is my compainion,
It sees me no harm,
No matter my anger,
No matter my charm.

I gaze up so angry,
My heat filled askew,
Wishing my body,
To be reborn anew.

And every full circle,
It grants me my wish,
It comes down to haunt me,
It gives me a light kiss.

For then I’m a monster,
But I do not care,
For that was my wish,
To give off great scares.

My hide is quite shaggy,
My snout very long,
My teeth, they all curl,
In a way that seems wrong.

But for that one night I’m free,
I howl at the moon,
For though I’m at my strongest,
That night I’m not doomed.

I am merely myself,
In that time on my own,
It is something I cannot tell,
It simply must be shown.
