Gratitude breaks the spell of Writers Block |
Several years ago, I can't remember the exact date, I purchased the book One Day Mu Soul Just Opened Up by Iyanla Vanzant. Today I was sorting through some trunks, looking for my pen and paper journals, I found the book. After I put all my pen and paper journals in a larger trunk (I am getting ready to move), I opened the book and begin reading it again. I had to start at the beginning because I forgot where I left off. Even though, I am in the process of packing, while participating in the "October Novel Prep Challenge" , I am going read the book and do the 40 day exercises the Ms. Vanzant suggests. I well write something about each of the 40 exercises. I do not know if I will write everyday because it may take me more then one day on each exercise. I will make entries in the pen and paper journal I am keeping, so I may copy the entries from that journal into this one. According to the instructions, in the book's introduction, I need to schedule at least thirty minutes everyday. That is twenty minutes in the morning and ten minutes in the evening. This is a reasonable amount of time, I suspect it will be difficult at first, but not impossible. Each exercise is accompanied by several questions that I can answer in journal entries. I also hope to write some poems inspired by these exercises. At this point, I expect to finish the exercises by November 23, 2013. However, as I wrote it may take me longer to do the exercises, so I will have to see when I finish them and the journal entries. |
