O'siyo Oginalii Tsilugi - Hello friends - Welcome - to My first blog. A place to share. |
Good Morning, I had a great weekend and hope you all did too. Death Penalty: For or Against & why? Murder as defined by the Webster's New World Dictionary: is to kill (a person) unlawfully and with malice. I would like to add my own feeling to that definition and that is to willfully deny another of his/her God given right, the right to life. Not only is the victim denied this right, but family, friends, and any future family of that victim is denied the right to interact and be part of the victim's life. There is not one human being alive that has the right to decide to take another's life regardless of rage, jealousy, or just plain meanness. The Bible teaches "an eye for an eye," but people cannot use that as an excuse to take matters into their own hands. I hate to place a degree on the subject but I think the most horrendous act of murder is that involving a defenseless child. It is all atrocious, but that is the worst. Yes, I support in the death penalty and taking it a step further, they should not be allowed to live for years on death row. If I could choose who to start with, I'd start with Scott Peterson.
