Drop by drop the snow pack dies, watering the arid lands below. |
The February 18, 2013 prompt for "Blogging Circle of Friends Prompt Forum" is What makes you cry? Oh, me! Oh, my! What makes me cry? I cry because I'm happy. I cry because I'm sad. I cry because I'm frustrated. I cry because I'm mad. What makes me cry? Under the right circumstances all most anything will make me cry. I can read a poem and it will make me cry. I can look at a rose or a bouquet of flowers and I will cry. If I inhale the aroma of my grandfather tobacco, I will cry. I can make coffee, inhale the scent of the coffee, and I will cry. The main thing that makes me cry are memories of my grandparents or my parents. Lately, anything that brings back memories of my mother will make me cry. I can walk down the aisle of a supper market, see a food that my mother like and I want to cry. I can watch television, see a show that was my mother's favorite, and I cry. It is the same way with shows that my grandmother or grandfather liked. What makes me cry are the memories and not the object itself. Under the proper circumstances I can be a very emotional person because of the memories that accompany the circumstances. Thought of the day: “Don't be ashamed to weep; 'tis right to grieve. Tears are only water, and flowers, trees, and fruit cannot grow without water. But there must be sunlight also. A wounded heart will heal in time, and when it does, the memory and love of our lost ones is sealed inside to comfort us.” ― Brian Jacques, Taggerung |
