         I've had a pleasant and memorable weekend.  Met some new friends in a bicycle group---made a 21-mile roundtrip together from St. Petersburg to Largo, Florida and back.  Took another ride to the Pier and back by myself this morning.  I believe some bicycles are faster than others and, thus, the bicyclist appears to be faster --- yet their bicycle is giving them an advantage.  When I bought my bike, I said that I really didn't care about speed --- now I am finding I do care about speed because I don't like to fall behind the group.  If I ride at a leasurely pace, I slowly fall behind until there is no possible way to catch up. 

         I think I will go to the bicycle shop and find out more about speed bicycles.
