Chapter 13
"Move out of the way!" Bonnie yelled.
"Don't hurt her! Don't hurt her!"
The bright windows poured with sun light and Bonnie was scared.
She was so afraid that someone was going to hurt her.
Or that Janet was going to hurt someone else.
Or herself
Bonnie didn't want that to happen.
As much as Janet had ever done she wasn't a monster.
Bonnie knew it.
She had to save her.
Bonnie kept running.
They ran down a small hallway filled with rooms.
Bonnie could hear patience screaming for their nurses.
She could see the horrors that held this place in tact.
One girl was bleeding on her arms. She looked at Bonnie with a look of horror on her face. Her nurse was in there bandaging her up.
One young boy was banging his head against the wall. His nurse was trying to put his helmet on him before he hurt himself. There were so many
people with so many ailments. Bonnie wondered how the nurses stayed sane.
They ran into the next ward.
There were children in here milling around.
Bonnie held her breath. 'Please don't stop here, Janet,' Bonnie thought.
'Please don't horrify this little ones anymore than they already are.'
Bonnie prayed to no one but herself.
They seemed to be slowing down a little bit.
Janet turned into an open door.
Bonnie followed closely behind her, almost holding her breath.
Janet grabbed the patient that was sitting at the edge of her bed.
It was a teenage girl with long dark hair.
The patient screamed.
Bonnie screamed.
"No, no, no Janet! Don't hurt her!"
Janet had the young girl in a head lock and squeezed her neck.
The girls screams had turned into small whines.
She was shaking so bad that Bonnie was sure the young girl was going to wet her
pants.
Bonnie could hear Janet growling in this low animistic growl.
Bonnie was sure she'd lost Janet.
"Poor Janet," Bonnie had sad aloud, shaking her head.
Janet looked at her;like she had heard everything she had just said!
Janet could hear her!
Bonnie squealed with delight.
There was a new sense of happiness that filled Bonnie's heart.
Maybe there was still a chance for Janet. Maybe the light hadn't taken over
every part of Janet's being.
It was time Bonnie thought.
Time for Bonnie to abolish the demon who took over Janet's body.
Bonnie's new found strength gave her hope and determination.
She ran around the room pulling down blinds and taping them to the windows.
She made sure not one ounce of light could squeeze through them.
Bonnie knew if even one ounce of light escaped they were doomed.
She would lose Janet forever.
Janet's soul would become a part of the sun forever and Bonnie would never
be able to see her best friend again!
