I went to the optometrist today for a glaucoma tests. The last time I went to see the eye doctor he diagnosed me with glaucoma, but they didn’t do the test with the lights. It didn’t show that my peripheral vision was impaired and the doctor didn’t prescribe any eye drops.

I ask nonprescription drops to count dry eyes. The weather in Las Vegas is into the triple digits and my eyes always get dry and itchy this time of year. The doctor gave me a sample and a list of nonprescription eye drops his office recommends. He also suggested another appointment in six months.

My next appointment is in November, which is a good thing since I have to renew my driver’s license in December. This way I will know what to tell the DMV when I renew the license. If I have any problems with my eyes before the appointment, I can call the doctor’s office with my worries and make an appointment to see him.

After the optometrist appointment, I came home. I don’t have a working air conditioner in the car, so today’s triple digit temperatures made me uncomfortable. At least at home, I have working air conditioning and an area fan if I need it.
