Saturday, May 12, 2012 ~ MAY 2012 FOLLOW ME BLOGGING CHALLENGE prompt is How your plans have changed by Fivesixer Just go with the flow, Distraction, interruption, And change a part of life. A change in plans is inevitable because life is fluid. It is a river flowing toward an unknown ocean. Sometimes the river is smooth because the riverbed is deep and uncluttered with stones. Sometimes there are rapids, which an individual must negotiate. Sometimes there are boulders, which the individual has to go around; thus, plans change. Radiant acquiescence is difficult and sometimes impossible. Radiant acquiescence joyful acceptance, but sometimes the only emotion I can manage is acquiescence. I wish I could accept every change in plans with a happy smile and a sparkle in my eyes, but I can’t. Sometimes I’m lucky to accept the change in plans without grumbling and ranting; neither of which help the situation. Weeds are plentiful and road blocks are inevitable; sometimes both necessitate a change in plans or destination. A change in plans is encountering a huge blooming oleander (a beautiful weed) in the center of the trail. I can’t go through it because there is the possibility of breaking off branches and getting its poisonous sap on my bare arms or legs. Therefore, I have to go around, which means either squeezing by it on one side (a slight change of plans) or taking another path altogether. Sometimes a weak smile Followed by a flood of tears Helps the spirit acquiesces. A change in plans is a gigantic boulder dropping out of a clear blue sky in front of my car. I put on the breaks and then decide if I can drive around it, which is rare because a boulder that big usually blocks a six lane highway with the exception of off ramps. I then take a deep breath, whisper a prayer, and then turn onto the off ramp. My plans have changed, there is no use ranting or crying. A smile, even a weak smile, helps.
