A Colorful Blessing

Rain falls down upon my life.
Each drop soaks me with despair.

I feel a storm brewing inside me.
Please, Lord, send me a rainbow.

Darkness plagues my mind with grief.
My thoughts are woven with desperation.

Hope slips away, leaving tears in its wake.
Lord, please, send me a rainbow.

My plea has been heard, the rain is no more.
Cool, gentle breezes refresh my tired body.

The sunlight warms my face and soul.
I gaze up, noticing a rainbow taking shape.

A colorful ribbon is painted in the sky.
The clouds of doubt have disappeared.

Peace flows freely through my mind.
My faith restored, I’ve been set free.
