Anything Goes Except these poems
Day 6: January 6, 2012 ~ 30-day Blog Challenge prompt is “anything goes”.
Anything goes except these poems and they don’t seem to be going anywhere.
Anything Goes
Along the Boulevard you see them walk, Nothing to do except to laugh and talk, You know that there is more to life then this,
I’m sure the preceding is an acrostic poem, but that’s about it. Three lines and nothing else came. The following is rhymed couplets and I know that it require more then just one stanza to complete the theme.
In anticipation of the night
Security or Insecurity
In anticipation of the night,
we lock the doors and turn on the lights,
as the shadows stalking city streets,
into our yards and homes creep.
At least, I managed four line and two possible titles. The more I stare at both poems, the denser the fog becomes. I’ll just let them rest for a few days and then get back to them. There isn’t any use stressing over a few lines that seem to be hiding in the fog.
