The Countess
I am the Countess. I was borned and raised in England. I am Dracula's second wife. I was born into society and my parents expected to marry me well. They had chosen a Noble's son for me to marry. Richard Baroe. Richard was handsome with blonde hair but wasn't very good on the dance floor. He had no idea on how to be romantic. I met Draula at my friend Alice Morgan's coming out party. He was so charming and handsome. I danced with him at most of the dances. This is the man I wanted for a husband. My parents didn't trust him and were uneasy around him. I wish I would have been, too. Instead I fell in love with him. He always got invited to balls. Women would swoon over him and men resented him. I noticed that Dracula didn't eat or drink much when we went out. Dracula and I would go to the ocean and look out at the stars and listen to the waves pounding the shore. One night, Dracula started kissing me and I liked it well enough. He bit my neck. It was an affecionate bite. I passed out and when I came to, I was in a castle. I had never been to a castle before. Dracula told me it was his home. I was so impressed. It was fancy but was dark at the same time. It wasn't because it was dark outside. Dracula told me he loved me and asked me to marry him. I was under his spell. I said I would and he had a minister perform the Wedding at the castle. A minister I didn't like. He is as bad as Satan. After the ceremony, there was the love making. I felt so special. I had married the man of my dreams. I felt strange and I wasn't sure what was happening. I slept all day and I woke up late. When I woke up, there was fancy purple velvet dress on a chair and Dracula came into the room. He kissed me and told me to wear the dress. I changed into the dress and Dracula took me downstairs to a room that was dark. It was eerie. I felt weak but I wasn't really sick. He intoduced me to his wife. His wife? I was his wife! I was confused. I looked at this beautiful dark haired woman and she hated me on sight. I was jealous and confused. Mina said to Dracula: "You had to marry a blonde! Aren't I woman enough for you? Let me guess. She is a vampire, too!" At this Dracula slapped Mina across the face. Dracula was a two timer and woman beater! Mina's words hit me. Vampire? I had read about vampires in books and heard whispered words about vampires over the year. It hit me. That is why Dracula had bit my neck. He was a a vampire! When Mina opened her mouth, I saw her fangs. This was scary. I am a vampire. I touched my mouth and found I, too had fangs. HOW DARE HE! I could never go home. I started to cry. Mina looked at me. You didn't know you, did you?" she said in a sweet voice. I nodded. Mina put her arm around me and told me it would be alright. Dracula laughed. "My two wives. You need to get acquainted and learn what happens if you cross me or mouth off to me! You both are woman enough for me but my bed is open to any woman of my choosing. I will be going out for awhile and Mina, you take the Countess out and show her how to feed. You be in my bed when I get back!" He hissed and left.
Mina taught me how to feed off human blood. It was actually pleasant. Mina and I came home and she spent the rest of the night in Dracula's bed until the sun came up. After that, I would share Dracula's bed and Mina the next night. We both started to resent Dracula and we had to make the best of our existence. Mina and I became best friends. I hope Dracula doesn't find out about Mina's beau Nicholas. I don't see how Mina can make it work with Nicholas. Dracula is so evil. He needs to be destroyed. As if things weren't bad enough, Dracula bought home another bride: Lucy. Lucy is definitely the one Dracula loves. Lucy doesn't like Mina and I. She is welcome to him. She is evil as he is. Mina and someday hope to get out of this mess but we will always be vampires. If we can be free of Dracula, it will be nice.
