Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
Every Gnome deserves a Home... see my pictures at FaceBook. ME: Well, Missoula loves James Lee Burke. Not a seat in the house by 6:45. He reads and signs at Fact&Fiction every year. So... I saw him at a distance. Could barely hear him at the other end of the store; but, I can vouch for his reading. He reads well... in an accent that is not Montana. Tripping? Nah, just waiting for my pin number for my ATM card to arrive so I can sit with my money-in-the-bank numbers and calculate what I need to set aside for England. Once the flight is found and the ticket arranged, I can figure out costs (then double), set aside my stuff to pack (take half), and I'm ready to go! My mother will be in Seattle September 14th-October 13th, so I'll be visiting her sometime during that stretch (not for the first 2 or 3 days though). This affects my plans to fly to England, may affect plans to visit Costa Rica and means I'll schedule some Behind-the-redwood-curtain, California time if I buy a two month bus ticket... again. Depends... So, Alfred: yes, the butt doesn't always approve of my cost-saving ways, but unless and until the wallet is fatter this is what I must do. I will check into how much it would cost to visit Calais, but no promises. I may not even visit London this trip. Lancashire and Yorkshire can easily fill up two weeks. If I stretch it to three? We'll see. A month may exhaust me. Getting old! Today was cool. Like in didn't-reach-70. Good day to sleep so I did. Shouldn't have... I was up before 7 yesterday to catch the bus; Kelly will be meeting folks for a morning walk come Friday... can I get there by 6? Ouch. I really should get back into blogging daily... 19,448 |
