One writer's journey |
I honestly don't know how to stay off the pc. ![]() It hurts. Like freakin really hurts. I somehow got it in my head that I'd visit the hand surgeon, get a shot in the joint at my thumb, and whoo hooo, instant pain relief. Instead, I watched the needle go into my thumb, move around and around, after the Doc sprayed this topical freezing spray for a good minute, and got sick. Big mistake, I should have closed my eyes or looked away, but after watching 80 cc's of fluid come out of my knew as a kid, I'm fascinated by that stuff. Had to get a grip when I hit the hallway of the office, made my appointment for two weeks from today, then couldn't drive. That's right. I couldn't. In fact, I had to yank Zak from school (Lucky for me it was a two minute drive) and have him take me home. At least he finally got to drive to and from school for once like a big boy. ![]() The two day wait as my hand either A) embraces the steroid treatment, or B) doesn't, will be my torture. It wasn't so terrible when I got home, finally put some food in my stomach and had a hot cup of Jo. Once the topical started to wear off, it was evident that I wouldn't be doing much, including typing. Jeans became a problem, who can button them with one had? Not I. Cooking duties went to Zak and Danny. Thank you boys! Way to step up. I'm hoping I'll wake up tomorrow and it will feel better. I mean, it has to, right? On a side note ~ The HSP is doing well. Had to close this segment of the Intro class as it's full. Now the others are starting to grow with new students. Monday should be very interesting indeed. Can't type anymore. I need a break. ~Ame is out. (still trying to get used to that name. Is it bad that I miss purpleprincess??) |
