RV, conversion van or VW-hippie-mobile?
ME:
Somehow the day got away from me so I've come downtown to check my mail (a note from the Infernal Revenuers) and well ... I just didn't want to have to stay home. I'm running out of excuses to not clean my bedroom.
The southern breeze was so stiff this afternoon it blew my shirt off the line. Guess it'll be dry by the time I get back ... unless it flies off to Omaha without me.
So ... RV, conversion van or VW-Hippie-Wagon? I need to start actually looking at them. There should be someone here who has a few used ones on the car-lot. Unless I find something ab-fab perfect, I need to get inside a few and imagine what exactly I can put up with, the operating costs and "what I need". Smaller and more economical sounds best, unless I'm going to be totally miserable. And having a Vespa or mo-ped to run around town in is another factor. As is a pet and a potted geranium .
I see Ranita tomorrow to work up the monthly costs. One factor is whether I keep a 'home base'. I don't believe I can afford a luxury appartment and a 40 foot push out road model at the same time ... so that's why I alluded to the VW. If I could rent a room for $150/month, LOL, that could be a home base for extra clothes, books and a place to crash between trips. Actually, Kansas wouldn't be too bad a location for that. Or Oklahoma, or Iowa ...
So anywho, thems me thoughts.
No major storms yet this spring. This is a picture of the 'microburst' of March, 2006 and some storm damage on downtown Mass. St.:
