Never overlook a second chance!
I guess that anyone might like one chance to hope into a time machine and go somewhere in time. The most likely choice is to return to the past. There might be someone that a person would like to spend some time with. A loved one who you might want to have one last night with. A family member who you would want to say good-bye to. Or if a person was really into history they might want to observe a very ciritical event: the signing of the Declaration of Independence, viewing the life of Queen Elizabeth I, or to see where some person in history vanished to. The list is indeed endless.
I think that I have been given a chance to say that I love someone and did not have to get into a time machine to do it. Now this might sound silly, but I really like my cats. I get nervous, upset and frustrated when they are not their normal selves. I really don't like it when I know that they are getting older and will some day have to be euthanized. Hopefully their spirit will have a fast and unimpeaded trip to animal heaven. These wonderful creatures deserve a place where there is no pain, or fear of a predator's attack.
Today, I woke up to find bloody vomit all in my living room-kitchen area. At first I thought that it might be Pumpkin, since he has vomitted and is under two veterinarians' care. However something in my mind told me that Tipper was not feeling well. So I was lucky to catch him and take him to the vet's office. After some observations and testing, they felt like he was not well and gave me some medicines and instructions on how to care for him. Lucky me----more medicines to give!
But I am lucky. I am able to care for all of my pets, but more especially, for those whose existance I really took for granted. I am grateful for this opportunity to tell him that he is special to me and that I do 'love' him. How can a cat tell? I guess you will have to take my word for it.
So I think that I will try to tell each one of my wonderful pets, that I do love them each day. I will try to pet them and give them a special acknowledgement. I would like that if I was a cat or a dog.
I think that I am a pretty good pet owner. Yes I do fuss at times, but today I was given a second chance to tell Tipper I do 'love' him. I also want to take some pictures of him. Finally, I want to make his life a happier one. Why not! He's been a nice little friend to me.
