Dinner for the Cathartes Aura
Drafting on the thermals, easy,
The ground lurches beneath me
My wings spread wide to catch the wind
Riding like an old friend
I've been feeling hungry
So i drift downward slightly
Until I can smell my prey
Hoping something good drops my way
Carrion is my favorite treat
The newest freshly-dead meat
But I've been known to dine
On other things that catch my eye
Following the wide black ribbon
All I yet smell is still livin'
Death-bringers zooming to and fro
Hit me a herbivore before you go
Those little fluffytails are the best
Followed by plants and sometimes insects
Oh, I scent an antlered beast
I'll swoop in to share the feast
