  She opens her office mailbox amidst multiples of shuffling footsteps and after checking her blackberry and before pulling the folded N.Y. Post…her eyes follow words like tracers in the night battle and her eyelids move like a closing vice;

Perusing the first few lines before stretching and extending her open palmed…she extends her fingers not as if she were about to raise her hand in a Heil but rather, as if she stretches those fingers prior to curling her fist into a karate-style punch
