About My Daddy
about my daddy

in case i haven't made it clear,

i love him
beyond reason,
completely,
unconditionally,
indefinitely,
period.

i'm his daughter,
he is my father,
forevermore.
nothing and no one
will ever come between that.

i have my faults,
he had his;
we each had our toils,
separate and shared,
but we stuck together through it all
to the very end
and beyond.

his princess i'll remain,
as he once told me,
till i'm an old woman
shriveled with age
if that's what the plan's to be.

i'll never forget him
nor what he's done for me.

and in my soul
and in my heart
he never shall leave me.

love you, dad.
