Little Alarm Clocks
Written for The Writer's Cramp - The Boonstra Brain Function Form.
Prompt: Write a poem about why you get up in the morning.
The sounds of giggles awaken me as little bodies bounce, shaking
me out of a deep sleep. "We"re hungry," they announce.
Rolling over, I snatch them one at a time
and tickle their little round bellies.
Laughter fills the room,
starting my
day.
