Living with a gambling addict is a constant bumpy ride. We cross so many bumps in the road that sooner or later you don't waste your breath on trying to make things change.
There are still moments when he does something that makes me feel like I'm dying inside. We have a two year old and very seldom get to go anywhere by ourselves. Today we had that chance and decided that after doing some erands we would go someplace nice for lunch to celebrate our 17th anniversary. He dropped me off and after a few hours I became suspicious. I knew where to look but hoped that I was wrong. Unfortunately, I found him at the nearest bar playing the machines. I was so hurt and angry which in turn made him mad. He truly saw no reason for me to be angry. I reminded him that in the past few months he's wasted thousands of dollars but it just didn't sink in.
