The world is full of weeds. A weed is a plant that grows in abundance where it isn’t wanted or a wild plant that grows in cultivated ground and excluding the desired crop (dictionary.com).

Wild uncultivated growth
Every where you look
Each spring they appear
Dandelions yellow and waiting to
Spread their white seeds in summer’s wind

Bloom if you can’t be a rose be a flowering weed,
but bloom and spread your seed.

Oleanders grow
outside my bedroom window
shade the central air unit

Oleanders bloom
their red, white and pink blossoms
cause my allergies

How do I know that an Oleander is a weed?
Because you can’t kill the damn things!
