The ups and downs of being single in your 30's...early 30's that is. |
Although we are already on the 5th day of the new year I am still pondering what to choose as my New Year's resolution(s). Of course there is the typical, eat better, exercise more and pay off debt/save money...boring whether necessary or not!! There is something I was talking about doing for the last month or two, but new I wouldn't have time to start until January. I don't really count this as a resolution, just something I need/want to do...read the Bible. I had a conversation with someone at the Christian Bookstore and found a study bible to suit my needs. It has been sitting under my coffee table waiting to be touched...next week I shall start...really!! While thinking of that I came up with a resolution for myself. For all those who know me, you will realize what a big resolution/goal this is...I have decided to read at least one book...not the Bible...from cover to cover before Christmas. Okay, stop laughing, I know to most one book isn't anything and you would be able to finish that within a week or months time; however, I typically don't like reading anything longer than a magazine article. This is where I need a little help...I'm clueless on where to begin looking for the "right" book. I usually don't like fiction. I tend to be interested in factual articles/movies and also biographies. Or of course a well written trashy love story may do the job as well. So any suggestions anyone could provide I'd greatly appreciate. |
