Weird Experience Driving in Las Vegas

I had a weird experience on the way home from the Baha’i Center tonight. The Center is on West Oakey, just the other side of Rainbow and I live on East Bracken Ave. near Eastern. Normally driving across town like that, I don’t catch every light red. At most, I might catch five or six, but not ninety percent of them. To night I caught ninety percent red. I thought it was odd, catching so many red coming east on Oakey, so I decided to go north on Rancho to Charleston. Lots of times if I just change streets that way then the timing of the lights have change and I catch more green, but not tonight. In fact, I caught lights red tonight that I catch green all the time. The only light that I did catch green was the one on Bruce and Charleston.

It’s interesting, even when I’m in a hurry to get somewhere I normally get mostly green light, but not tonight. Somehow, I get the feeling that it is significant in some way, but I don’t know what. Maybe I’m just letting this whole thing with all the red light get to me. It was damp and chilly, we haven’t had any rain lately, but it’s been cloudy. I didn’t think I was in any particular hurry to get home, at least not until I noticed I was catching so many red light. The traffic on neither Oakey nor Charleston was all that heavy either. The traffic on the cross streets was a bit unusual for Sunday night, but that was it.
