Yep, it's been more than a month since I quit smoking now, and you know, I think it may be a tired subjet. Oh, I'm not saying it's not exciting. I'm enjoying the freedom I experience as a non-smoker. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't feel a need to count days anymore. Maybe that's kind of exciting, all by itself. I don't spend lots of time at the quit-smoking website anymore, and when I do it's more to make sure to answer any emails I've gotten there, or maybe to write one to someone who could use some encouragement.

I should be spending lots of time at some other websites these days. My courses oblige me to regularly visit three seperate websites, not counting the student web portal, where we all have our student email accounts. The university now requires that all email correspondence between students and professors takes place from a student email account. Professors are not allowed to respond to email from any other kind of account. I guess that's one way to make sure students visit that web portal on a regular basis. That's ok, it's a pretty decent website. I think the website calender might just come in pretty handy this year, and you can attach a fair amount of files to your emails. My only gripe about it is that when you log out, it pretty much paralyzes you for a few seconds while it goes through the process. Even if you try working in a different window while it's doing its logout thing, it will invade your other window. You're pretty much just stuck staring at the logging-out, please wait screen until it flashes back to the sign-in page.

Other big news in my life; the laptop. That's right! I finally got one! Do I love it as much as I thought I would? Short answer: more.

Had a few problems connecting to the wireless network around campus, but the people in ITS or SITS fixed me right up.

Matter of fact, I think I'll get off this desktop and open the laptop here in a minute. It's got more up-to-date versions of the office software. About time to get started with the course website rounds anyway.
