ISO 9001 I S O, nine thousand one, Marches with gay abandon. Industries and services Clamor for its auspices. I, a doctor turned lawyer, Was seduced by an offer From a training company Offering its litany. It was a five day long course, Not limited to discourse. There was plenty of course work, Enough to make one berserk. Each day saw too many tests, Despite the trainees’ protests. Yet the trainer had a mind Of very brilliant kind. But, looking back, I now feel, Our trainer did well reveal The secrets of I S O, In a professional flow. I now know that quality Is a sacred entity, To be zealously guarded, Never to be discarded As I S O auditor, I can now well monitor, Whether standards are observed, And, if guidelines are covered. · Written in aabb, 7-7-7-7 format · The writer attended a 5 day Lead Auditors Course, March 20-24, 2006, leading to certification as an auditor for carrying out the audit of the Quality Management System as per the guidelines of ISO 9001:2000, the internationally accepted ISO standard for quality.
