Yesterday after reading all your encouraging thoughts, I felt the need to write a little prayer.
I was all set to add it to my blog today, but then I remembered this: "When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that s all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you." Mt 6:5-6
With the passing of Valentine's Day I understood the reason behind this, and it comes down to a question: Would I share the most intimate conversations with my husband for the whole world to see? I know for a fact Dave would not be pleased, nor I if he did the same to me. After all, what is prayer but an intimate, loving conversation between us and God?
So instead of sharing this intimate moment with the world, I will instead keep it close, and repeat it or add to it whenever I need a little private time with God.
