Benighted By My Father's House
Trustingly I walk along your path
watching my feet in the sand
fitting within yours delicately
as if two pieces to a puzzle divinely designed
Dare I say I walk in your footsteps?

Trustingly I heed to your voice
move to its fluctuations
understand its message
and carry it as if packed in lunch boxes with me
as I dwell within my father's house
forever
Dare I say I preach your gospel?

Trustingly I stood for you
when thine enemy beckoned at your door
It was I who stood under lamb's blood to defend
when thine enemy struck my cheek
I took heed of your word and turned the other
all so you could raise your hand to my mother
Dare I say I have been betrayed?

Trustingly I forgave you
seven times seven thousand
in my head not enough
to explain the whore in your bed
the Jezabel in my mother's freshly pressed sheets
her ambrosia poisoning a love
murdering a family
and putting asunder what no man should put asunder
Should call you Adam
for you let temptress shroud thy eyes with lust
and beguile to taste of forbidden pleasures
cast thyself away oh foul sinner!!
adulterer!!
Covetous, for the vixen belongs to a fox!!
Thou hast caused my eyes to suffer
my heart the bitter victim of deceit
my mind lost in enigmatic disarry
all because of you
DARE I CALL YOU
FATHER

Or should I call you what they call you
preacher
