Winter: 15 Sultán (February 2) 2006-02-02 afternoon, 59 degrees. 65 in Tulsa, OK. Word association. I'm writing a cheerful letter to my good friend Gary in NY, so I think of Gary in Oklahoma, so I check the temp in Tulsa, which reminds me that they have had a mild winter too, which means that since I saw a crocus in bloom here today, it must be looking like Spring there also, even though it'll get cold and snowy here by week-end. Which is fine! Winter isn't over yet, especially back in WNY where Gare is probably enjoying skating with his 3 year old son come ice or snow or whatever. Just talked to my mom, thanks to Verizon. But that's another story. Doing T @ 3, so I need to print up the brochure. I'll finish my blog later. OVERHEARD 'There are critters living in that beard, older than most people I know,' Phil N to Mark K. SENSED Four squirrels circling around and up and down the oak tree; the sound of heating units. 2006-02-02 evening, 40 degrees. 38 in Missoula, MT. And later it is! Tea went fine, although there weren't as many there as hoped. I'm over 1,100 views. 1,108 to be exact. Met RW in the bookstore afterwards and we got into a good discussion. From California, family in Weschester Co. NY, came here and fell in love with Kansas. Very smart and well rounded. I meet great people here! A poem few have read. Mentioned to RW how it hurt to lose contact with friends and family. 7 numbers 7 numbers to dial to wish me well. 7 numbers and 7 seconds of your life. Too many numbers. Too many seconds. Each one guarded, held onto, with all your might. No time to speak to me. No reason to hear my voice. I breathe the seconds and reasons for living, awaiting just 1 call. [160.604] |
