Online journal capturing the moment and the memory of moments. A meadow meditation. |
2005-12-13 vespers, 42 degrees. 52 in Tahlequah, OK. Okey-dokey, it's rainy in Oklahoma tonight. Here it is beginning to drizzle. I'm not minding the mild weather; although, the crisp zero mornings were invigorating to say the least. I've logged in 300 times since end of June! My port has been viewed 969 times. This blog has 814 views and my poem "Speak soft my name" [13+] has 223 views and been rated 48 times. For "First drum set" [E] it's 154/29. I guess I should be thankful! I have received 600 reviews and given 447. I really should focus on giving reviews since my semester project is 'over'. Have focused more on that the last month. I have almost 200 items on-line, but I need to rearrange items and empty a few of the editing files. Need to work on my 4 poetry journals as well to get as much stuff on-line so I can find it. I figure I have 10-15% of my sketches where I can edit them. Another group is on floppies (some no longer openable) or on back-up paper in files or piles in my car. Still, I figure that half (over 1,500) are in notebooks that I haven't looked at in awhile, many for over a year. 2005-12-13 afternoon, 43 degrees. 33 in Iowa City. Still okay here weather-wise. Saw my prof this morning. Life continues. She's so supportive that it makes up for alot of crap. She shared homemade fudge. I chose the peanut butter because it usually is less sweet. Didn't leave the library till 2 a.m. so I'm totally tired. I'll revise my "Without a Garden" portfolio later. Need to form my 'cover letter' attempt into a real letter and do some revisions. Easier to do when there is a starting point. Soon it will be time to start applying to schools. And it is long past time to submit items for publication. Long overdue. 2005-12-13 EARLY morning, 24 degrees. 4 in Buffalo, NY. Worked on portfolio and cover letter. Now it's time to leave the library and go to bed. 2005-12-12 late evening, 27 degrees. 41 in Reykjavik, Iceland. Miss Iceland is now Miss World! Warmer there than here. How the temp drops without the weak winter sun! I'm at the library late, working. It's open till 3 a.m. Hope I'm done long before then. The Bahá'i day begins at sunset (in case you were puzzled why I diidn't enter this with "yesterday's" entries). |
