Happy Anniversary to us
Forty-three years ago I walked down the aisle on my father's arm and left on my husband's. I kept watching Robert as I walked toward him, but he had his eyes on my twin cousins, five-year-olds, who were the flower girl and ring bearer. Oh, well. . . I did leave with him.
Today I gave him the soft, light fannel shirts I got him and the anniversary card. Robert gets cold very easily, even when the temperature isn't cold. He really liked the shirts, and he needed them.
The best gift I could receive is having Robert still with me, and he is. We love each other more than ever.
