Where's the Silver Lining?

Bob will be here tonight

For the first time in eight years, Bob will be "home" with us during the Christmas holidays. The last time he was, actually we were at his house the Christmas after my mother died just before Thanksgiving and after two of our grandchildren were stolen by their father.

But Bob is going to arriving about 7:30 our time, and, needless to say, Robert and I are both excited and anxious. Bob's wife, Brenda, will arrive December 20, and they will leave December 23.

Guess we'll have our "Christmas" December 21. Randy and his family don't want to come back on Christmas Day. We can't really blame him. He wants to be able just to stay home for a change. But we will still have Christmas dinner with our granddaughters and their families and with Becky.

The important thing is all our family that can be here will be Tuesday night. We're thankful for that, so very thankful.
