Curiosity Killed Cat

The tiny, black bugs first appeared when Cat stopped dusting regularly.

She noticed them gathered in a corner near the ceiling, in her bedroom, where a small cobweb hung. The bugs just seemed to lounge there. But, always oddly curious, Cat had to know if they actually moved.

When other bugs suddenly appeared on her bedsheets, she was convinced they'd simply grown there, and she decided to experiment rather than kill them.

Cat lies in bed, now, paralyzed by the poison the bugs ooze as they borrow beneath her skin.

Tears leak from the corners of her eyes as she wonders how she'll look when her corpse is finally found.
