Old Habits
The memory grew stronger, everyday, surfacing from a far corner of The Prince's mind.
He sat for hours, staring at the window where flies gathered outside.
The memory transfixed him. Burned deeply within him. He was being driven back to old habits, and was growing too weak to fight the temptation. His cells remembered. Regression was inevitable.
The Prince secretly began leaving the window opened so the bugs could fly in.
Until The Princess busted him.
With his secret revealed, The Prince lapped flies onto the tip of his tongue, then leapt out the window.
The Princess' kiss wore off as he hopped back to the forest.
