Here in Washington State, we have had a surprise bit of extreme weather. Anyone who knows anything about our evergreen state, knows that we all have developed webbed feet and instead of pacifiers, we are given umbrella's as infants, and taught how to use them. Our weather has been hovering into the 100's and averaging about 80. Way to hot for us rain loving folk. So guess what else I found about August? I found out it is Artist Appreciation Month. Isn't that great? So here on Writing.com, I sent you each a great big hug and kiss  , and encourage you all to send each other pat's on the back also. We are a special breed, us artists, and we help make the world go round. So take the time to appreciate yourself also!!!Here is what Webster's 1913 Dictionary defined August as: Definition: Au*gust", a. Note: The old Roman name was Sextilis, the sixth month from March, the month in which the primitive Romans, as well as Jews, began the year. The name was changed to August in honor of Augustus C[ae]sar, the first emperor of Rome, on account of his victories, and his entering on his first consulate in that month. So, now we know how special August is. Don't forget to write, rate, appreciate, and make friends. Highlighting Newbie BioBlocks  This Newsletter finds me eliminating my Newbie Bio-block section simply because I found so many empty ones!!!!! Instead I welcome these Newbies and encourage them and of course all of you to please take the time to fill in your Bio-Block. It gives us an introduction to you and helps to give us an idea of who you are!!! Your Bio-Block can always be changed, updated. It can be serious, humorous, or just silly. Its your introduction to us, so come on all you Newbie's out there, let us in on who you are! Here are some Newbies I found interesting and/or entertaining. I read their work, and found myself very entertained. I begin to read and forget to mark down what I just read, or find myself going back and reading the same thing twice sometimes three times. As I said earlier, August is Artist Appreciation Month, so take the time to read these and others. I am sure you will enjoy them as much as I did. Write On!

Thanks, Cindy The answer: Reviews for rateable items are stored with the item itself in your portfolio, so you do not need to keep all of those emails. Simply read the email when it comes in, reply to your reviewer and delete the email. When you want to view all of your rateable item's feedback, visit your portfolio and choose [Reviews] underneath the item. This will bring up your entire list of feedback for that specific item. For your unrateable items, the feedback is not stored. If you would like to keep that feedback, we suggest creating a folder within your email and storing them there. The point of this is:look around, read experiment, its a whole new world and you are all members.
