On www.harpercollins.co.nz:

Illustrate a scene from the thirdbook in J.R.R Tolkien’s series The Lord of the Rings:The Return of the King.

Three semifinalists will be chosen from each of the three age groups, and Alan Lee – illustrator for The Lord of the Rings books and conceptual designer for the movie trilogy
– will choose an overall winner from each age group. The nine semifinalists will be displayed in Hoyts and Village SkyCity cinemas nationwide during December 2003.

The winner in each age group will receive an assortment
of The Lord of the Rings merchandise to the retail value
of $500.00 including:

* A selection of J.R.R. Tolkien original and movie tie-in books
* The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring DVD
* The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers DVD
* Games Workshop The Lord of the Rings strategy battle game and paint set
* A commemorative certificate signed by Alan Lee

The remaining six semifinalists will each receive an
assorted pack consisting of:

* One double movie pass and a poster for The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
* The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring DVD
* The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers DVD
