Rollie Pollie wanted to visit the North Pole. He looked, as if, he might cry, if he didn’t, and then suddenly the tears streaked down his face, he’d just have to. But how could he get there? Who did he know that knew Santa? Rollie Pollie waited anxiously for Christmas Eve, and as he set out his cookies and milk for Santa, he dreamed. He dreamed that he was up on the rooftops with the famous handsome reindeer! When Santa heard his cry for a wish to see the busy elves at the North Pole, and help help him that wintry night, Santa roared with laughter and cried, “What can you do, little one, to guide my sleigh tonight?” “Why, Santa,”, Rollie Pollie answered, “I’m the one who can fit down the chimney the very very best to stop you from awakening the children who listen for your reindeer.” Santa, then said with a grin, “Why what a good idea, I’ll slide you down all the chimneys and that way you can pull my sack down and drink and eat all the milk and cookies. I’ve just gotten too fat to have them all , these days. “ Rollie Pollie couldn’t believe Santa had given him his Christmas wish. He grabbed for a reindeer and sat upon Blitzen, and as the sleigh streaked across the sky, Rollie Pollie flew with the best. He went from rooftop to rooftop, as Santa stayed warm in his sleigh. Santa flew Rollie Pollie up to the North Pole thrice to pick up more toys from the elves, until finally Rollie Pollie had awakened. He couldn’t believe what a fantastic dream he had dreamed. He felt his belly, it was extra full, and he had a stomach ache. He gazed at the empty plate meant for Santa. There was a note left there for him. It read: Thank You Rollie Pollie, for guiding my reindeer. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, you’ll go down in history! 3rd Place Winner, Rollie Pollie/Santa Contest |
